Sorry I've been so quiet lately

I haven't had much to report on. And as it turns out there won't be much ultra running for me this year. I have decided to change things up a bit and spend the first half of the year focusing on trying to get some speed back. I want to see how close I can get to my 2004 where I ran the River Bank 25K in 1:58 and some change. That's not real fast but it's fast for me. And it's faster than I have been in quite a while. 2004 to be exact. So from now through June I'll keep my focus on events like half marathons - some of them road. Then I will run the Grand Island Trail Marathon in July. From there I'll focus on the North Country Trail Run in September where I plan to run the 50 miler. We'll see how the year goes. For 2009 I'll go back in ultra runner mode and hope to run a 100 miler. Maybe two.

If anyone is still reading - what are you focusing on? How is training? What goal races for 2008?

I'll try to be better about keeping this thing up. Does anyone care to read about me trying to get a little faster?
